Italian Dressing Jerky Madinade
- 1/2 cup white or red wine vinegar
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil or olive oil
- 1/4 cup light corn syrup
- 2 1/2 tablespoons grated Romano cheese
- 2 tablespoons dry pectin
- 2 tablespoons beaten egg
- 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
- 1/4 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
- pinch of oregano
- pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl, mix, and let sit one hour before using, allowing flavors to blend. Yes, this may seem an odd flavor for a jerky, but the basic italian dressing actually makes a for a nice marinade for meats. You can either use the recipe above, make you own, or use the packets available at the grocery store. Pairs well with: Venison
