Italian Dressing Jerky Madinade

Italian Dressing Jerky Madinade

  • 1/2 cup white or red wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil or olive oil
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons grated Romano cheese
  • 2 tablespoons dry pectin
  • 2 tablespoons beaten egg
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoons minced fresh garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
  • pinch of oregano
  • pinch of crushed red pepper flakes

Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl, mix, and let sit one hour before using, allowing flavors to blend.

Yes, this may seem an odd flavor for a jerky, but the basic italian dressing actually makes a for a nice marinade for meats. You can either use the recipe above, make you own, or use the packets available at the grocery store.

Pairs well with: Venison
